Avalon

Avalon is a residential neighborhood with a high percentage of single-family homes with a few low rise apartments and condominiums. The area’s main commercial development is the Avalon Shopping Center (see map).

Most of this area was developed between the end of World War II and 1960 so the very typical rectangular bungalow is most popular and the mature feel of the neighborhood gives it some charm.

The neighborhood has two elementary schools including John Lake School and Georges Vanier School.

Residents enjoy nearly a plethora of public park space spread across three parks with amenities like baseball and basketball facilities, numerous playgrounds, walking paths and a paddling pool.

From this south central location you’ll enjoy easy access to downtown Saskatoon via the Clarence Ave over pass and Circle Dr and the new Stonegate shopping district with Walmart, banking and restaurants all just steps away.
