Buena Vista is located in south central Saskatoon and offers easy access to downtown Saskatoon and the U of S. Approxemetly seventy-five percent of the homes in the area are singlr family homes and the area’s close proximity to the University of Saskatchewan makes detached duplexes and two-unit dwellings a popular housing type for rental revenue.
Roughly half of the homes in Buena Vista were built before 1940, some in the first couple of decades of the 1900’s so you’ll find an interesting mix of dwellings from old character homes, to war time houses, to more recent infill development. Large lots and a mature landscape give the area a certain charm.
The area has just one school, Buena Vista, which is part of the public system.
Buena Vista has nearly twenty acres of park space between three public parks. Bordering the South Saskatchewan River, Gabriel Dumont Park is a wonderful spot to enjoy a summer afternoon.
