Otherwise known as downtown Saskatoon. The downtown core of Saskatoon has seen steady and significant improvement over the past decade and has once again become a destination place for citizens of Saskatoon. You’ll find an excellent selection of restaurants, from casual to fine dining and a number of popular night spots. The Central Business District is also home to Saskatoon’s Arts and Convention Centre TCU Place, Persephone Theatre and River Landing.
At the east end of the area discover beautiful Kiwanis Park and Friendship Park, both bordering the river valley and offering stunning views of Nutana, Varsity View and the University of Saskatchewan campus. On this side of the river valley, you’ll appreciate some of Saskatoon’s finest architecture in landmark buildings like the Bessborough Hotel, St. John’s Cathedral and St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church. Residential development in the downtown core is largely limited to condominiums from entry-level apartments to luxury suites like the King George with a few high-rise buildings converted into warehouse lofts.
