As a south Saskatoon neighborhood, Haultain offers easy access to the University of Saskatchewan campus and all that downtown Saskatoon has to offer. Located just south of 8th Street, your proximity to the entire city is available.
The area is primarily residential with the majority being single family homes. the remainder is a mix of semi detached homes, low rise apartments and duplexes. The majority of the neighborhood was developed around the 1960's and it’s common to see some modern day infill activity happening now. Haultain has just one school, L’Ecole canadienne-francaise. The French Canadian school is the only Saskatoon school offering a fully French curriculum. English speaking elementary school students in both systems attend schools in neighboring communities and travel to them by bus. There is not as much green space as you may find in other areas of the city, however, your close proximity to the meewasin valley trails as well as the river supply you with ample ways to enjoy the outdoors.
