Meadowgreen
Meadowgreen is a residential neighbourhood located in Saskatoon’s west end. Most of the development in this area occurred between 1960 and 1980. A little more than half of the homes in Meadowgreen are single-family detached houses, with lowrise apartments account for about forty percent of the housing stock.
Including a convenience store and laundromat, Westgreen Plaza is the only commercial space in the area. Westgate Plaza and Confederation Park Mall offer a wider selection of goods and services and both are an easy drive from this neighbourhood.
The area has just one school that is part of the public school system. W.P. Bate School was relocated when its new building on 18th Street opened for the 2006-2007 school year. There are three public parks in the area. Recreational amenities available to Meadowgreen residents include baseball and basketball facilities, numerous playgrounds, walking paths, toboggan hill, an outdoor skating rink and a paddling pool.
This area has gone through a major revitalization over the last number of years with many new infill housing popping up and well as a few block of new housing. The neighbourhood slogan is "A Safe and Spirited Community"
